Ever since I have been reading and researching about counterfeiting many years ago, I have been amazed at how ridiculous all the countermeasures are when attempting to simply slow down counterfeiting . . . let alone stop it.
One company after another is coming up with more and more advanced technologies to tackle the problem while the even bigger challenge would be to supply and teach the whole world about how these hi-tech toys work in the first place. Not to mention that by the time everyone might ever have the capabilities to operate such toys, they would all be crazily outdated while the raw cost itself would simply out-of-this-world no less.
If you want to know why NO-ONE is seeing the tiniest of the big picture here, well get ready to jot this down my friends: it’s because everyone looking into this matter are all law abiding citizens or companies who base their genius findings on lower shelf criminal accomplishments. That’s the truth and nothing but the truth whether anyone likes it or not.
No actual professional counterfeiter remotely cares about IFRD taggants, laser imperfection readers, color shifting this and that or all the holograms out there. All this is ABSOLUTELY nothing to go around, hence the out-of-control epidemic we have going on...dah.
How can so-called experts even think that in 2014 it could be difficult to obtain anything? Ever heard of internet, Google, Asia and India as a whole, Middle East, Russia etc...?
What those experts spend years developing actually takes mere hours to source for counterfeiters!
They can’t even stop the legal market itself from duplicating the many equipment they’re trying to sell as anti-counterfeiting measures because there are still some who consider patents “deterrents” . . . hellooooo! Who the hell believes I would even need to break a sweat to find IFRD guns or tags or dust particles or whichever of those crap! Were those Geniuses raised under a rock or what?
Any anti-counterfeiting features must first be considered powerful enough to target, first and foremost, CHINA to begin with! They are world leaders in counterfeiting because they also happen to be world leaders in manufacturing capabilities as they also are nothing less than the most powerful world economy.
They do not behave this way because they’re bad people or because they don’t know about our bullshit laws, our patents or our self-absorbed economic principles! NO, they are this way simply because they don’t abide by those same stupid rules we create and foolishly believe to be recognized the world over. Religion each have their own set of rules – some of which we agree with and some of which we don’t. Have you been thinking twice about putting those marinated pork ribs on the barbecue last time for example? You know damn well it’s a crime worthy of capital punishment in some Countries – that’s how much it makes sense to them! Are you a bad person for that . . . hell no, pork ribs are delicious! It’s called DIFFERENCE OF OPINION and is “the” why counterfeiting exists.
Now that you know this, one may be inclined to think that this is a lost cause and that it is simply impossible to defeat it right? W-R-O-N-G!
Counterfeiting is exactly like fire. It needs fuel to stay alive otherwise it will suffocate.
One of its primary sources of fuel is, time again to jot down, PACING, yes, the speed at which counterfeiters can manoeuver relative to the different problem facets while counterfeiting. If you cut this one source alone, it could be crushing the breathing life out of it by itself.
The battle will always be lost set up as it is because “experts” know nothing about what they are supposed to be expert at so they must constantly research and meet and survey and propose, evaluate and re-evaluate, test, pass bills and on and on and on . . . all that crap. Counterfeiters have long been busy at work by the time the “experts” have made up their minds about anything which by then is SOOOOOOOOOOO useless and obsolete; it is literally making me sob.
Worse news yet, this same “Top down pit” crappy model I call is the same model for every other crime problem and why those Morons have NEVER gained an inch in the whole story of the planet – quite the opposite actually. They have been steadily losing ALL BATTLES FOREVER with drug, smuggling, prostitution etc etc... But this is a whole new ball game.
